Dry hire means you'll operate the equipment yourself during your hire and look after it while it's with you. It's the simplest, lowest-cost way to hire.

Tell us about your event and what you'd like to hire. We'll come back to confirm availability and pricing. Each item shows a short Best for note — if you're not sure what suits your event, just describe it in the box at the bottom and we'll advise.

Our minimum order value is £75. For bookings made with less than 2 business days' notice, a £25 short-notice fee applies — this reflects the additional logistics involved in turning around a hire at short notice.

All equipment is collected from and returned to Itchenor, West Sussex. We can deliver and collect within a reasonable distance — see the options below.

We can usually discount longer hires where prompt return isn't practical — just mention it in the notes box at the bottom.

Individual speaker packages

Bose S1 Pro+

From £50.00

Best for: speeches, toasts, ceremonies, small acoustic sets and ambient music. Comfortable for around 20–30 people on one speaker; two paired (panned left/right) extend coverage to around 50 in a similar setting. Battery-powered, so no mains needed at the speaker.

Technical details

A rechargeable active speaker with up to 11 hours of battery life. Supplied in a protective transit case (transit only — the speaker must be removed from the case for use) with a 1.5m power lead and a 10m audio lead terminated in 1/4" male TRS plugs. The speaker has two combination XLR/TRS inputs (XLR for microphone level, TRS for instrument and line level), and an auxiliary input for 1/4" TRS or 3.5mm stereo jack. Built-in mixer with EQ and reverb to combine multiple sources (e.g. microphone, instrument and music).

JBL PRX912

Best for: music playback, vocal PA, ceremonies and announcements. One speaker comfortably covers around 60–80 people for a party or DJ set (rather more for speeches and announcements where bass isn't critical); two paired in stereo extend coverage to around 100–140 and give a wider, more even sound.

Technical details

An active 12-inch speaker, 2000W peak / 1000W RMS. Supplied in a protective transit cover (transit only — must be removed from the speaker for use) with a 2m power lead and a 10m audio lead terminated in a 1/4" male plug and a TRS male plug for connecting to a mixer or other audio source. The speaker has two XLR female inputs, two XLR pass-through outputs, and an XLR Mix Out suitable for feeding a sub. Stereo auxiliary input accepts a 3.5mm stereo headphone plug. Built-in mixer with digital signal processing. Can be supplied pre-configured for a particular use case.

Top speaker pole-mounted over a sub for full-range coverage. These share stock with the individual JBL PRX912 above. We have 2 tops + 2 subs in total, so quantities adjust as you select — e.g. you can hire one individual PRX912 alongside a Single Pair (2 tops + 1 sub used), but not alongside a Double Pair.

JBL PRX912 / PRX915XLF — Single Pair

Best for: weddings, parties and DJ sets where bass matters — the sub-bass that brings a dancefloor alive. Comfortable for around 80–100 guests indoors for mixed-format events (speeches, background music and some dancing). For a full dancefloor at that size, we'd suggest the Double Pair for wider, more even coverage.
